It’s a match made in Paris! Two of my favorite brands, Carven and Petit Bateau, are teaming up to create a capsule collection for adults and children.
The range will consist of nine pieces at Petit Bateau’s price points, ranging from $64 for a boy’s polo shirt to $320 for a women’s dress.
The collection will only be available at Colette in Paris and 10 Corso Como in Milan on November 5th, but will expand to 240 Petit Bateau locations worldwide on December 5th.
My Picks: Altuzarra for J.Crew
For the seven-piece capsule collection, the Parisian-born designer was inspired by Bridget Bardot in Saint- Tropez. Its an ideal combination of 50s femininity and French preppy style, perfect for summer beach weddings.
Marni for H&M is here!
The big day is finally upon us! After months of anticipation, H&M’s Marni collection launches in stores tomorrow at 8am. I’m not usually one to line-up or camp-out (although I am guilty of running up four flights of stairs in order to beat fellow editors to the Rogan for Target press preview at Barney’s some years ago), but this year I may make an exception, if only to secure the collaboration’s signature mixed-print maxi dress. I’d also be happy with the high-shine leather pullover or polka dot halter.
I’m most looking forward to seeing the accessories up close and personal. Based on the lookbook images, the black sequin collar and colorful, chunky cuff bracelets could provide a much-needed cheap thrill.
Marni for H&M Campaign Film
Though the designer collaboration market has become increasingly saturated, I’m so excited for Marni for H&M, hitting stores on March 10th. The campaign film was shot in Marrakesh by Oscar-winning director Sofia Coppola and features croony tunes by Bryan Ferry.
I’m absolutely loving this collection’s mix-and-match prints, simple silhouettes and retro color palette, but I’m most excited to stock up on the quintessentially-Marni, chunky cuffs and statement necklaces.
